A highly popular type of crown at Glen Dental is the ceramic (metal free) crowns which are expertly colour matched to your existing teeth and are usually made from Emax or Zirconia, which are two top grade materials that are tough, durable and opaque, making them highly preferable to a traditional porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns. This is because they provide an exceptionally life-like aesthetic solution.
A 25 page report full of the most useful information, ideal if you’re thinking about any aspect of cosmetic dentistry
Glen Dental in Leicester are pleased to offer patients metal free crowns – a highly successful cosmetic crown option for repairing cracked, broken, decayed or heavily filled teeth.
Our Leicester dentists use these exceptionally stunning cosmetic crowns and bridges in situations where aesthetics are of the utmost importance, such as your front teeth. This allows us to provide an exceptionally life-like aesthetic solution.
These aesthetic crowns work by allowing light to pass through as a normal tooth would and that gives a natural look, unlike other metal cores that block the light. Also, they do not leave a black line on the edge of the crown by your gum line. They also have strength, allowing you to chew comfortably and with confidence.
The new all-ceramic crowns at Glen Dental in Leicester are aesthetically superior to any other type of crown. You just cannot get the same finish and natural, living look with a traditional metal core (porcelain fused to metal) crown.
An aesthetic crown could be a good solution for you if you have discoloured fillings or crowns at the front and would like to improve their appearance. We will discuss the material, shape, size, position and colour of the crown or bridge at your free consultation.
Our patients from across Leicestershire are also delighted with the reduction in sensitivity they experience with our all-ceramic crowns and bridges. The typical sharp reaction to hot and cold often felt with traditional crowns doesn’t usually occur because of the lack of electrical conductivity.
We offer a free consultation for metal free crowns so, if you are considering this treatment and would like to find out more, please contact us today to book.
Booking is easy with the simple form below or simply call us right away on 0116 2593386.
While crowns can last a lifetime, they do sometimes come loose or fall out. The most important step you can take to ensure the longevity of your crown is to practice good oral hygiene.
Keep your gums and teeth healthy by brushing with fluoride toothpaste twice a day and flossing daily. We advice to spit out the excess toothpaste after toothbrushing but not to rinse out with water.
See your Leicester dentist or hygienist regularly for checkups and professional cleaning.
To prevent damage to your new crown or bridge, avoid chewing hard foods, ice or other hard objects. Avoid using your crown or bridge (and natural teeth!) for things such as opening bottle lids, tearing sellotape or cutting cotton thread.
"I’ve recently had my teeth whitening done by Lina, the results are amazing and I can’t stop smiling. Lina and the rest of the staff are so lovely and welcoming, they gave me lots of information about the procedure before I had it done and answered any questions I had. Would definitely recommend this dental clinic."
PW, Leicester"I have recently become a member of Glen Dental, after having a chip in my front tooth. All experiences so far have been very good. With speedy turn arounds. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to switch practices or who are not currently at a practice. Ricky is very professional along with all of the staff being very friendly, which helps make that daunting dentist visit a lot more pleasant."
JS, Market Harborough“Lina has helped to restore my faith in dentists, her calm and gentle approach has helped me to achieve the smile that I have longed for.”
IP, Leicester“I am a nervous patient and I have always found Glen Dental and all the staff there to be very sensitive to my fears. They are very reassuring and kind and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them to anyone.”
FW, Kibworth"I'm a new patient to the practice and chose Glen Dental following various consultations at other practices. Ricky Patel was my dentist.
This was my first treatment at Glen Dental and the experience was all round very comfortable and felt minimally invasive. Ricky took his time with the treatment and was very meticulous with the great results coming through, which I'm very happy with. The composite bonding really did transform my teeth- a look and feel and I'm very happy with the outcome- brilliant!
The clinic was very comfortable with friendly staff with a clean environment. From my prior experiences at dentists, I have found it to be uncomfortable and wanting to leave as soon as possible but this was not the case with Ricky at Glen Dental. Great practice!"
"Like a lot of people I'm not overjoyed at going to the dentist and I'd had a particularly difficult experience at my previous surgery so I was very anxious.
From the very first phone call with the genuine and understanding receptionist to the initial review with the dentist and the eventual filling I needed, everything was calm and reassuring.
The waiting room doesn't smell or sound like a traditional dentist which was a huge relief. The dentist patiently listened to my concerns and made every effort to make it easier for me.
I was prepared for some pain but the system they use delivered the anaesthetic effectively and I honestly felt nothing other than a single sharp scratch and the mild vibration of the drill. It was a revelation!
I would highly recommend to anyone who is feeling anxious about treatment. Their fees are clearly stated and they consult with you about each item of the treatment plan they suggest so no nasty surprises when you come to pay. A positive experience from start to finish."
"Wonderful friendly staff, helped me get back on top of my dental hygiene. Very informative through each appointment.I would highly recommend have done a wonderful job. Thanks again for the great service Glen Dental"
TC, Great Glen"After not being to a dentist since 2017 and having some gum issues I decided to get booked for a consultation here. I was so nervous but from the first phonecall I felt at ease with them. Jo is a diamond and so welcoming as soon as you walk through the door. She has a personal touch that really makes you feel comfortable in these situations.
Ricky is my dentist and him and his lovely assistant really made me feel so much calmer and I couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome of my deep cleaning. I’m now on a dental plan with them and can already notice a huge difference in my gums firming back up!
I highly recommended this dentist and their plan, and I’ve already recommended to my family who are looking to move over this way. Thank you so much, I’m really pleased I came here and I no longer feel scared about going to the dentist which I never thought I’d say!"
