Dr. Lina Kotecha qualified as a dentist in 2000 and developed a special interest in facial aesthetics, undertaking a host of further qualifications in dermal fillers, Botox ®, thread lifts, Profhilo and fat dissolving injections. She prides herself on her extensive qualifications and training achievements. She has kept abreast of all the latest techniques in facial aesthetics by attending regular meetings, conferences and training. In 2016, she completed the Masterclass in Facial Aesthetics run by the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners, which she passed with a distinction.

Many patients report after treatment they look and feel much younger.
Dr Lina Kotecha offers treatment with botulinum toxin to help with the following conditions:

Dr. Lina Kotecha uses a tried and tested brand Azzalure, one of the few botulinum toxins approved by the FDA. It has a 20-year history and is regarded as consistent and safe. She is also very careful not to over-treat, avoiding the dreaded “frozen face” look. For the patients that like a very natural look, she uses a technique called ‘Baby Botox ®’.
Botulinum toxin works by helping small muscles in the face that have contracted relax, softening lines and wrinkles. It works in a similar way on sweat glands to treat excess sweating.
You’ll notice the first effects of botulinum toxin treatment after four or five days, and effects will typically last three to four months. Botulinum toxin is delivered via a series of small injections, and while there may be a little swelling for a day or two afterwards, there is minimum discomfort.
Most people are suitable for botulinum toxin treatment, however pregnant and breastfeeding women and those with certain neuromuscular disorders should avoid the treatment. Some medications may also make you unsuitable for this treatment, which is why we’ll take a detailed medical and drug history at your initial consultation.
