Lip Enhancement by Dr. Lina Kotecha at Glen Dental

Our lips are an important part of facial beauty. For many people, fuller, more sensuous lips come high on their wish list and these can be created using products that are naturally found in the body.

Simple and safe dermal fillers such as Restylane and Juvederm injections treatment can enhance the lips in many ways including adding volume and definition, balance our asymmetric lips, reduce the appearance of those fine, vertical lines and enhance small thin lips.

Lip enhancement with dermal fillers in Leicester is a safe procedure which can replace the volume and definition that ageing has taken away; it can also be used to create balance or harmony between the upper and lower lip

Whether you want to improve the shape and volume of your lips or simply give your lips more definition, Dr. Lina Kotecha, will deliver the lips you discussed during your consultation. Her knowledge of facial aesthetics and skills in administering dermal fillers will ensure that you achieve pleasing and expected results.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • What does lip fillers involve?

Prior to the treatment, you will be carefully examined by Dr. Lina Kotecha at Glen Dental in Leicester. You will have a face to face a discussion of your preference and you will be advised of the best specific solutions for you. Methods of anaesthesia such as ice pack, cream containing a topical anaesthetic and dental nerve block will be discussed.

During the treatment, the appropriate dermal filler is injected to the desired areas of lips. The dermal filler will then be massaged into the areas to create smooth, soft and natural results.

  • Do lip fillers hurt?

We understand the lips can be a sensitive area. A range of anaesthetics, such as ice packs, numbing creams and dental nerve block can be provided depending upon your preference. In addition, the Restylane, Emervel & Juvederm products contain an anaesthetic agent, therefore the treatment is relatively comfortable.

  • Will I see the result immediately?

After the injection, the lips often become a little swollen. This means that the result immediately after the treatment may not be the final result. The swelling typically resolves spontaneously within a couple of days.

  • How long will the results last?

The result generally last between 6 to 12 months. The longevity of these products is variable and each individual may obtain a different result. A plan for regular follow-up treatments to maintain the initial result can be created for you. Our treatments provide a long-lasting but not permanent result leaving you the option of refining your treatment in tune with changing taste and fashion.

  • Lip filler Cautions/ Contraindications

Lip enhancement is not suitable for pregnant/breastfeeding women or anyone who suffers from severe allergies. If you’ve previously had cold sores around the mouth (facial herpes simplex), the treatment might provoke an outbreak.

Full list of side effects, cautions and contraindications will be discussed at your face to face consultation.

Please note: Any injectable procedure will only be undertaken after your face to face consultation with Dr. Lina Kotecha, during which a full assessment will be carried out and full list of cautions and contraindications discussed.
